Niseko is located in Hokkaido, one of Japan's most Northen islands. Transport to and from Niseko is efficient and a great way to see the amazing scenery of Hokkaido. Most Japanese accommodations offer a pick-up and drop-off service to and from the station, with smiles that will warm the coldest of days.

The most convienent way to reach Niseko from Sapporo is by bus. Throughout winter express buses operate directly from Sapporo New Chitose Airport to Niseko throughoug the day. The ride is comfortable, passing some of the most scenic spots of Hokkaido, including the famous Shikotsuko Lake.
Travel time: Approximately 3 hrs (including refreshment & toilet stop)
Cost: Approximately 2, 300 Yen one way | 3, 850 return

If your schedule does not coincide with the buses, the trains are a great option.
Express and regular trains operate from both Sapporo New Chitose Airport and Sapporo city. The journey takes approximately 2.5 hours, with transfer required for regular trains.
When coming to Niseko, please make sure to get off at Kutchan station and not Niseko station. This is a commonly made mistake and can be a costly taxi ride back to Hirafu.
