Iwanai Shrine Festival 2018

Witness the 200 years old tradition as locals carry mikoshi (portable Shinto shrines) throughout the town. Over hundreds of men will carry the two heavy shrines up steep slopes and long roads without a break. Many people come to Iwanai every year to watch the procession and is definitely a sight not to miss!
