The 30th Tour de Hokkaido
The Tour de Hokkaido is holding its 30th race this coming September in a 4-staged event that runs from Sapporo to Niseko and back. The event is a UCI class 2.2 event falling into the Asia Tour category.
The event has been running since 1987 following a 5-rider team and multi-stage race format set up in likeness to the Tour de France. The event has seen increasing interest in teams interested in participating from overseas over the years and has grown into a truly lively event. The event is run concurrently along with a citizens road race, adding to the number of participants and further livening up the event.
