Niseko named as the venue for the 2026 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships!
Scheduled for August 26-30, 2026, the event is anticipated to draw over 2,000 officials and family members to the Niseko region.
The UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) has declared that Niseko will host the 2026 Gran Fondo World Championships, the premier event in amateur cycling road racing. This exclusive competition is reserved for top qualifiers from the UCI Gran Fondo World Series. This marks a historic occasion as it is the first time the event will take place in Asia, underscoring the significance of the recently concluded 11th edition of the Niseko Classic held last weekend.
