August 2017 Lift Construction Update
Full steam ahead for new ski lifts in Niseko.
As announced earlier this summer, two new lifts are being added to the mountain this year. The new Ace Family Quad lift is replacing Niseko-Hirafu's Ace Family Pair and is longer and faster than before. At Niseko-Annupuri, the new Dream Quad 1 will open up a new beginner zone, providing lift access the final stretch of the Junior Family run.
So now, almost two months after the original announcements, how is the construction progressing?
Dream Quad 1
The Dream Quad 1 has just moved into full swing with heavy machinery clearing up space for the lift tower foundations.
Meanwhile, the Ace Family Quad has been under way for over a month now. The lift's new path is completely cleared, foundations are laid and the concrete bases are set. It won't be long until the lift towers are in place.

Both lifts will begin operation early this winter and we are excited to see the effect they will have—especially the Ace Family Quad—helping skiers of all levels get up the mountain faster in the mornings.
