Niseko-Kuchan's Asahigoaka Flow Trail is now open to ride until the end of the October, after a number of months being rebuilt from its closure over winter.
First opened in September 2016, the trail is designed to be family-friendly and is suitable for riders of all levels, from first-time beginners to advanced. Not only can you enjoy the the trail via mountain bike, it's also open to walkers and trail runners.
While not as extensively designed as last year's first build, the trail offers a great way to get active in the autumn season. Plus, it has some of the best views in the region!
Construction on the trail will continue next year and will see the addition of a cross country loop through the forest. Take a behind-the-scenes look at the original design and development of the trail and our interview with one of its builders, Teppei Nakajima.
The trail is now open on weekends from Sept 30th - Oct 29th, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm for bikes.
Cost" ¥200 per day or ¥500 for the weekend. Both include bike rental and transport to the top of the hill.
Location: Asahigaoka Ski Hill behind Kutchan Station.
