Night Skiing In Niseko Opens This Weekend

Experience a whole other world up on the mountain this winter in Niseko when the lights are turned on for night skiing. From the scheduled opening this weekend on Saturday, December 10th, 2016, a significant part of the mountain will be lit up beautifully by floodlights until 9pm (the last lifts go up at 8.30pm) each night. Night skiing is for a limited period of the season and is scheduled to run until March 20th, 2017.
Not only does the later hours allow you even more time to get out and on the slopes for some extra runs, but you'll also get to enjoy some additional benefits too. Believe it or not, the visibility can often be better at night than during the day as the floodlights cut through any fog and cast shadows on the bumps that you mightn't see in daylight. If you love your moguls, why not head on up after hours instead to perfect your skills! Plus, you can use your day time to do other activities in Niseko like snowmobiling, snowshoeing or backcountry tours.
