Producing half the country's milk, Hokkaido is famous for its dairy products. Home to several dairy farms, Niseko has access to fresh dairy everyday and produces a variety of quality cheese related goods. Here's where to try a selection of Niseko cheese this month.
Niseko Cheese Factory
Niseko Cheese Factory makes more than 15 different types of cheese each day. Using dairy from local farms and spring water from Mt Yotei, the quality of cheese is guaranteed. The factory has won national level awards between 2013 and 2017.
An Dining
Hosting a special event in September for visitors, sample the best Hokkaido wine and Niseko cheese at An Dining this month. Try Niseko Cheese "Sekka" Sour Cream, Niseko Cheese Camembert and Niseko Cheese "Ku" Blue Cheese.

Milk Kobo is one of the best-known stops in Niseko and its cheese tarts are a favourite in the local community. As Japanese cheese has a subtler flavour compared to cheese traditionally from the West, try their cheese tarts and taste the difference.
