At the 2014 World Ski Awards, held last night in Kitzbuhel, Austria, Niseko completed an incredible clean sweep of all the Japanese Ski Awards!
Japan was the only country out of the 21 countries represented at the awards where one resort dominated so completely. Awards such as this only serve to enhance Niseko's reputation around the world and amongst our fellow ski professionals. Go Niseko!
Not only that, but local legend Akio Shinya - who is Chief of the Niseko Annupuri Avalanche Prevention Committee - picked up an Outstanding Contribution to Ski Tourism award for his work keeping us safe over here in Niseko. Read more about him and his work at SnowAction.
Not only that, but our friends down at The Vale Niseko picked up the awards for WORLD's Best Boutique Ski Hotel. It was a night to remember for Niseko!
