Niseko Keeps On Winning
Our very own Experience Niseko magazine and the iconic Bar Gyu + have been recognised for excellence in their fields.
This continues Niseko's run of awards, after some of the resorts top hotels and chalets were recognised as best in class at last week's World Ski Awards in Austria.
Experience Niseko Tops The Class
Each year, the Nippon Community Contents Association recognises excellence in magazine planning, photography, copywriting and design at their Awards event.
The Japan Tourism Agency sponsors the prize for the Best Inbound Tourism Magazine and this year, the Experience Niseko magazine has taken it out, beating a number of other English language magazines covering a wide range of tourism topics.
"Experience Niseko have created a highly complete magazine for targeting long-term Europeans and Americans, the type of magazine tourists will take home. I hope that wonderful efforts such as this will continue in various parts of Japan and lead to regional revitalization through tourism promotion," remarked Hiroshi Tabata, Director of the Japan Tourism Agency.
This prestigious award is a credit to the hard work and dedication of our contributors and to the many local businesses who support in the way of advertising and displaying our magazines to their guests.

50 Best 'Discovers' Bar Gyu +
Niseko locals and visitors in-the-know have been crouching through it's unique fridge door for two decades, but only now is Bar Gyu + being recognised for the treasure it is on a global stage.
The team behind The World's 50 Best Restaurants and The World's 50 Best Bars have created a new website, '50 Best Discovery', which showcases some of the world's best hidden gems.
Niseko's quaint cocktail come whisky bar, with its moody ambience and effortless swagger has been, quite rightly, picked as one.
Taking on the World
Niseko is still abuzz after last weeks World Ski Awards ceremony, where Ki Niseko was named the World's Best Ski Boutique Hotel (and Japan's best, too!). Among the other winners, Hazuchozan was named Japan's Best Ski Chalet and Skye Niseko and SkyExpress were named Top 3 in the World in the categories of Best New Ski Hotel and Best Ski Transfer Operator respectively.
