Play a Round at Japan's Best Golf Course
You don't have to stray very far at all to play a round at Japan's best golf course.
Avid golfers looking for a round at one of Asia's most scenic and challenging courses should look no further than the Niseko Village Golf Course, which was named Japan's Best Golf Course at the World Golf Awards in 2014.
Niseko Village beat a very strong field of contenders to take out the top prize, including the highly acclaimed Tokyo Golf Club and Kawana Resort's coast-side Fuji course.
The Par 73, 6,845 yard course overlooks Mt. Yotei on one side and the Niseko Village ski area on the other, giving golfers a real taste of the area's natural beauty. Carefully manicured greens and immaculate fairways are bordered by striking silver birch forest.
The course has been nominated again for the award in 2015, and will look to defend its title when voting opens on June 5. In doing so, it will again take on Japan's most reputable clubs and establish Niseko as one of the top summer season holiday destinations in the country.
In addition to the Niseko Village offering, Niseko is home to a number of other world-class courses. The Arnold Palmer-designed Niseko Golf Course is one of Hokkaido's most challenging courses, and the Niseko Tokyu Golf Course—based at the foot of Hanazono—offers sensational views of Mt. Yotei and is just a short drive from Niseko Hirafu.
