Hokkaido Bank, the second largest bank in Hokkaido, is going to open an office in Niseko.

The main aim of the new office is to collect info on investments, development, construction, and manpower needs due to the high development in this area. With the plan of opening Shinkansen in 2030, the company foresee the continuous growth of tourism business in Niseko.

The office will open in December. Prior to the opening, the Hokkaido Bank will place a money exchanging machine in Seicomart near the main crossroad of Hirafu Zaka. The machine will exchange 16 currencies to Japanese yen, first day of operation begins on September 28th. Hokkaido Bank will also place an ATM machine in Aya Niseko, with the function to withdraw Japanese yen using foreign credit cards.
