Explore events unique to the Niseko area that can be enjoyed by both locals and tourists, such as the traditional Kutchan Town festival Jaga Matsuri and the international Hirafu Matsuri hosted in Niseko Hirafu. In addition, Niseko Hirafu Green Park, which will be held for the second time this year, will have a variety of events planned over the summer from July 13th to September 1st.
Niseko Hirafu Green Park
This year marks the second edition of Niseko Hirafu Green Park, a space designed to bring together food, merchandise, and activities for all ages amidst the unique natural surroundings of the season. Transforming Niseko into a vibrant year-round resort, the park will feature a diverse array of offerings including food, music, movies, art, and outdoor activities. Located at Hirafu Kogen Central Park, just a short stroll downhill from Skye Niseko, the park will run from July 13th to September 1st. Experience the essence of summer in Niseko with a multitude of engaging events.

Niseko Sky Bus
Once again this summer, the eye-catching red Sky Bus will be seen around town, contributing to the vibrant tourism scene in Niseko. This year, the bus will operate on two routes: the Niseko Panorama Bus and the Niseko Night Bus. The main appeal of this open-top double-decker bus is the opportunity to enjoy Niseko's scenic spots with unobstructed views, while feeling the fresh, cool breeze on warm summer days.

The 62nd Kutchan Potato Festival
The Potato Festival, held annually in Kutchan Town during summer, celebrates its 62nd edition this year. Centered around Kutchan's famous specialty, potatoes, the festival includes a parade, musical and dance performances, a lively beer garden, spectacular fireworks, and various other attractions.

Niseko Hanazono Hill Climb
The Niseko Hill Climb, coinciding with the Potato Festival on Kutchan Station Street, is a challenging road race where cyclists ascend a course spanning approximately 16km, featuring numerous inclines and declines. Participants tackle an average gradient of about 4.6%, climbing from an altitude of 189m to 796m in one continuous effort. The event offers different categories tailored for junior high school students through to seasoned riders, ensuring enjoyment for participants of all skill levels.

Hirafu Festival
The Hirafu Festival is a distinctive two-day summer event located in the mountainous region of Kutchan Town. Celebrated for its international flair, the festival draws a diverse crowd, including many expatriates. Alongside live music, games, sword fighting tournaments, and other activities , a highlight is the gourmet carnival featuring renowned local restaurants. The festival culminates with a captivating display of taiko drumming and fireworks.

NAC Trail Run

Niseko Gravel marks the final cycling event of the year in the Niseko area, promising a unique riding adventure that blends both paved and unpaved surfaces. can select from four distinct courses Participants: S (30-40km), M (approximately 65km), L (100km), and XL (120km-130km), catering to various skill levels and preferences.
