The public shuttle offers great value for money if you are travelling solo or in a small group. The two main operators are Good Sports and Hokkaido Resort Liner. Rail
You can also reach the Niseko area using the train. Japan Railways offers a Rapid Airport service from New Chitose Airport to Otaru Station where you will need to change trains for the remaining leg to Kutchan Station. Make sure to get off at Kutchan Station as Niseko Station and Hirafu Station are further away and generally not serviced by taxis and buses. Most accommodation providers will pick you up from Kutchan Station upon arrival or alternatively you can take a taxi from the station to Niseko (approximately 10 minutes and 1,500 yen to Niseko-Hirafu). A one way trip will cost around ¥3,000 (cheaper without a reserved seat) and a ticket can be purchased at the train station.
