Mountain Presented with Richard Tognetti and Members of the ACO
Guests were captivated by a special cinematic and musical odyssey in Niseko.
Richard Tognetti and members of the Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO) treated guests to a stunning musical performance last Thursday night in Niseko, together with the exclusive Niseko screenings of the new film, Mountain.
The special event celebrated the collaboration between the ACO and BAFTA-nominated director, Jennifer Peedom, on Mountain. The ACO's music is the epic soundtrack for the stunning feature film.

Hosted at Tanta-An at Grand Hirafu Mountain Center, the evening started with a lively performance by Mt. Yotei Junior Jazz, with super talented children from ages 6-15, playing incredible jazz well beyond their years.
Their passion was easy to see with all of the players sharing their musical prowess with many solos. A hit with the crowd was the band's rendition of well-known song, Tequila!
Next up was world renowned violinist, Tognetti and the artistic director of the ACO, performing together with members from the ACO.
Richard led the members of the ACO and played incredible classical pieces including Tchaikovsky and pieces created especially for the film. The ensemble's performance was full of light and shade and had the whole audience captivated.
It was also a delight to watch cellist and member of the ACO, Julian Thompson, interviewed by Experience Niseko previously.
After their 2018 sell-out show last January, Tognetti's return to Niseko this season along with members of the ACO was much to the delight of guests and locals in Niseko.
Th evening concluded with the exclusive screening of the film, Mountain, with a very special introduction by director, Jennifer Peedom with Richard Tognetti.
Mountain is a dazzling exploration of our obsession with mountains. The film explores our relationships with mountains, from the past to the present, featuring glorious mountain scenes, including Niseko's very own Mt. Yotei. Other scenes in the film were also shot in the Niseko area.
Richard Tognetti and members of the Australian Chamber Orchestra together with the screening of Mountain was also presented for a second show at the weekend at The Orchards Niseko.
