What's On in June in Niseko
The beginning to many fun summer festivals and sport events.
As the weather becomes warmer approaching the summer season, there are many exciting events to look forward to. In June, attend one of the many festivals around Niseko or work off some energy by participating in some cool water action.
Niwasaki Ichi
In conjunction with the blooming of shibazakura (pink moss flowers) in Kutchan Town, a small outdoor market will take place near Mr Mishima's Garden selling a variety of goods. These include local produce, handmade crafts, artwork, rare plants and more!

Nature Ride Niseko
Nature Ride Niseko is a fun cycling event for all ages to participate in. The route takes participants around Mt Yotei and the surrounding area. The 70-110 kilometre ride along Kimobetsu, Kyogoku, Toyako with frequent stops encourages individuals to take part with families and friends to enjoy the scenic and relaxing ride.

Lake Toya Anime and Manga Festival
Attend Lake Toya's annual anime and manga festival and witness hundreds of fans cosplay as their favourite character. Watch the live performances, talk shows by voice actors and exhibitions on stage. Alternatively, roam around the number of stalls to buy the latest chapter in popular manga series, vintage comics as well as tasty snacks and refreshments.

Rafting
Start your summer adventure around Niseko by rafting down Shiribetsu River. Arguably one of the best destinations for white water rafting in Asia, Shiribetsu River offers a stunning alpine scenery to its visitors. Soak up the sunshine while facing challenging turns in the clear water.

Shakotan Soran Mikaku Festival
Celebrate the start of summer and fresh produce together at Shakotan's annual tasting festival. Traditionally held on the last Sunday of June, locals will gather to feast on the freshly caught seafood cooked in a 150 centimetre large pot. During the day there will be traditional performing arts, dancing and song shows on stage. In the evening, enjoy the firework display with more dancing and drinks.
