It feels like it was only yesterday that we were writing about what to expect for the month of March and here we are again reporting on what's to come for April! As they say, time flies when you are having fun and since we spent so much time enjoying ourselves in March here in the Niseko area, perhaps that is why time is running away from us!
April is the peak season to experience both winter and spring converging on each other. The temperatures start to consistently rise above the freezing mark, the roads start to clear up making more spring activities possible, and the slopes are still open in the Niseko resorts for spring skiing. Towards the end of the month, flowers will start blooming more and more, but some start as early as the end of March depending on the conditions! Super Bumps Niseko Cup
This year marks the 27th holding of the Kutchan Town Cup - Super Bumps Niseko Cup. The contest is held at Grand Hirafu's Alpen Course and has seen many participants who have gone on to perform at international and Olympic levels. Part of the event is a Junior Mogul Workshop which is designed to help scout out potential Olympic-level athletes for the future.
Whether you compete for the cup or just want to come watch some high-level skiers tear down the slopes make sure you swing by to check out this one!
