October 2017 Lift Construction Update

Niseko's two newest lifts are well on their way to completion. With less than a month before the opening of the 2017/18 winter season, here is an update on how the lifts are tracking.

The new Ace Family Quad lift is replacing Niseko-Hirafu's Ace Family Pair and is longer and faster than before. From our last construction update in August, the lift line towers are now erected with work progressing on the start of the lift where skiers and snowboarders will hop on the lift.

This Ace Family Quad is scheduled to operate from Friday, 1st December, 2017 until Sunday, 15th April, 2018, daily from 8:30 am until 16:30 pm. Night skiing access be be open from Saturday, 9th December, 2017, until Sunday, March 18, 2017, daily from 16:30 pm until 20:30 pm. It is scheduled to open.

At Niseko-Annupuri, the new Dream Quad Lift will open up a new beginner zone, providing lift access to the final, gentle-gradient stretch of the Junior Family run.

The lift is in its final stages of completion with the lift towers and lines both in place, as well as the main operating lift system where skiers and snowboarders will board the lift. It appears the lift seat installation is the last part of the construction to be completed.

This year, Niseko-Annupuri is scheduled to open on November 25th.
